My professional journey.

Volunteering and Affiliations

Orientation Peer Advisor

Through my role as an Orientation Peer Advisor for the School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, I am a student-leader responsible for advising 10-20 first-year students on how to manage extracurricular activities, where to hang out, and how to adjust to the Penn community.

Penn First Plus Student Mentor

A First Generation, Low Income student myself, my service as a P1P Student Mentor allowed me to go beyond 1-on-1 mentorship, general advising, and problem-solving, and connect with younger FGLI students to share common experiences on a deeper level.

P.A.S.N. Community Leader

As a Penn Admitted Student Network Community Leader I represent the Mechanical Engineering, Southern Students, and Campus Life communities to all admitted students at the University of Pennsylvania. Within these virtual communities I offer student to student mentoring and foster incoming-current student interaction.

Chargers Soccer Club

After 8 years of success playing for my hometown team, I became a volunteer coach, advisor, and mentor at Chargers Soccer Club. Having led week-long camps in which children learned to play soccer, collaborate with peers, and develop their athletic skills, I currently assist a U-16 Team when I’m in the Bradenton area.

August 2020 - December 2022

Youth-In-Action

In my junior year, I founded both Braden River High School's SWAT and Youth-In-Action programs. As President, I lead the outreach programs under which volunteers rose awareness toward controversial topics that effected the lives of everyday high school students. By the end of my two years in charge, I had grown the volunteer population in both clubs to 30+. Half a year after their conception, I partnered the two organizations on a Drug-Free initiative in order to take advantage of both institutions’ national resources.

January 2018 - May 2019

American Red Cross

As a certified volunteer, I work with the Red Cross by providing humanitarian relief, and working closely with other organizations in the community. My journey with the Red Cross began with my high school chapter. After half a year of volunteering and helping grow membership by ~500%, I became the Braden River High School Chapter Treasurer (December 2015 - February 2017) where I was in charge of fundraising for Chapter Events such as "Bundles for Babies" and "Disaster Relief Packs", and ordering and distributing American Red Cross apparel to all sixty members in the Chapter. After a year, I became the chapter Vice President (March 2017 - March 2018), where I took charge of revising and revolutionizing the Chapter Constitution, overseeing club communication, and co-running all meetings and events. After another year, I became the chapter President (March 2018 - May 2019), ultimately responsible for the working of the executive board, volunteer body, and representing the chapter to regional affiliates.
